It is sad having to leave but we were all getting "Itchy feet" so it was time to go. I suppose it is because of what we do but we are all very different characters and ages and yet we have got on handsomely together, frequently dining togther and always in jester or other cruising boats exchanging stories. We've had a BBQ, with flags and bunting and an official reception by the local council in the 10 days I've been here. Because of our close association we decided we would all like to leave together this Friday, 10th June, so at midday we all set off in pleasant sunshine and light airs to our diffrent countries and destinations. Poor old Basil (Jaba), I only towed him in at six o-clock Thursday morning, saw us leaving midday Friday but he dropped into the comradeire straight away. He and Glen (Tao Zou), who is leaving his boat there, were the only ones left.

The light airs soon gave way to a good steady WSW wind which push us straight towards home through the night. Today it has strengthned and I'm making good progress. The forecast is for strong winds and hard sailing from Tuesday when the aftermath of Tropical storm Colin sets up of a line of lows that are headed west and I will have to get through. At least the wind should be generally from the west so hopefuly I won't be fighting against again!!

I'm generally tidying and checking the ship ready for what ever comes as it doesn't look like I am going to get balmy seas and warm sun, Ah well we'll see???
