A very mixed Day!

A beautiful blue sea, huge smooth rolling waves that gently lift you and just as gently put you down again, such a difference from those same monsters only yesterday that were crashing into you and throwing you across the cabin.  Shorts and light shirt were the order of the day because it’s still not that warm with what little wind there is coming from the north

From a sailing point of view it is hard work and very testing.  The wind what little there is constantly changes in strength and direction, teasing you into thinking there is enough to work with.  Live in hope.  I noticed that my lat and long showed me further north than I had previously been.  My chart plotter has a tracking device so I turned it on and it showed me this, so I am obviously a better sailor when I’m asleep!?

Went to bed here

Woke to light steady Wind here

Answering a few questions;

Approximately 1200 miles Plymouth to Terceira

The trip, like your car, is the miles I sail regardless of direction,

The CMG ( course made good ) is the actual miles I have achieved from Plymouth to Terceira.

Seen no wild life since the sea birds disappeared as I got further off shore.

 No Sarah!! Tell James I have not seen any Giant squids!
