Left La Paz afternoon of 7/2/11. Anchored nearby to organize and clean the
boat. Picked up anchor next morning and started working south, out of the
Sea of Cortez. Saw several rain squalls and shifty wind last night. Now
motor-sailing against southerlies. Doing 180 deg. at 5 kts. We need to get
out of the Sea and at least 400 miles west before next week. So far there's no big lows
developing, but the clear weather window won't last long. Boat and crew
doing fine.
