So the onslaught started on Thursday when Kate, Nathan, Zoe Chloe and Max arrived.  Zoe,   one of their oldest friends,  appears to be settling in well:

Chloe and Max brought Barnaby – the School Bear who is required to accompany miscreant children who go abroad in term time as a condition of their gate pass. Barnaby appears to be settling in too and has been be friended by the Frog.

Our days start early, (04.00), and are pretty full on until the kids are worn out.  I am learning than all we really need to do is to survive until happy hour at 17.00. It is not too  hard to occupy them when the sun is out. For example, one of these two (Nathan and Max)  is aged only four years…

As is one of these two…..

The good news is that if does give Kate the opportunity of  the odd break from the children – but it does require her to go to some lengths..

But when it rains  - as it did all day yesterday – it is more stressful………………………  But that is family life!
