We have now left Bora Bora heading for Niue on
route to Tonga. We left about 4.30 pm local time.
Before we left we sailed the tricky route to the
south east corner of Bora Bora and had a wonderful snorkle. It is
really like swimming in a very large swimming pool, the water is that
clear.
Wind permitting, we may stop in Aitutaki (cook
islands) depending on wind etc.
There was very little wind last night but we sailed
all night, minimum speed 1 kts, max speed 7 kts which only lasted about 2
hours.
The engine had to come on at 7am as there was a
serious risk of going backwards - at the best standing still.
We have just turned the engine off now at 12.30 our
time and we are sailing at just over 5 kts which is not too
bad..
