We have now been in Bali since tuesday 26th of
Oct.
Bali has been quite disappointing really. A
lot of fun with Customs/Immigration/Port Autority/Quarantine/navy/temp
import. We have had to do the rounds to collect the right stamps and we
need to provide endless
photocopies and do it all again to clear out
when we leave Bali unfortunately.
We are in the middle of no where on the southern
end, this area is really just commercial harbour with not a lot here and takes a
long time to get anywhere as the roads are incredibly busy and full of
mopeds.
On Thursday we went Hashing on the south bit of the
Island and this was great, lovely scenery and very friendly people.
Friday we hired a car with a driver and did the
towns followed by a dance at a temple on the south west corner.
Yesterday, again with a car and driver we went to
Ubud and did our second hash north of that. This was so great, we saw
realy Bali with real people. lots of peole having end of day bath in
the river and washing their
clothes, lots of temples and we even run through a
long tunnel with candles in the walls with a gost jumping out at the end!!
after all it was a halloween run.
