We arrived in Grenada Monday 14th of
April. We had one night at anchor and then moved into Clarkes Court Bay
Marina. The entrance to get in was quite interesting and not too clever
once we got inside as our charts did not show the shallow patches including the
one we almost got stuck on...
We found my cousin Gylfi and found him in a
bar with his wife Lola. It was great to meet Gylfi after so many years and
to get to know Lola who is a very fun and lively person with lots of
energy.
We have done a bit of walking in the
immediate area, as well as hiring a car to explore a bit, and watch Gylfi play
on Friday evening. A customer at the bar liked him so much that he offered
to pay for him to play for another half hour and bought us all a round of
drinks..
The center of the island is very pretty with
rain forest and beautiful views.
We drove to Grand Etang Forest Reserve and
went for a walk in the rain forest around the
lake.
Some pictures below:

Our yacht is on the rh pontoon opposite the fishing motorboat..
There is quite a lot of lawn on the marina grounds which is
unusual..
View towards Calivigny Island Nice sandy beach but the resort does not
welcome yachties turning up on the beach
View towards Hog Island. Notice the beach far right.. hopefully we
will go there today by
