Bubble and squeak and a couple of slices of corned-beef, with a fried egg on top for Chris and a side of picililli for me. Simply delicious! The breeze is kindly pointing DecaDance such that our dinner-time view was of the sand dunes and the sun sinking behind the verdant hills rather than the ugly hotels at the other end of the cove. Light winds have taken us half way to our destination of Menorca, on the beam again, pootling along in the sunshine with Chris tweaking sails and me tweaking our new website.
Do you get swordfish in these waters? Or marlin? I saw something quite big jump completely out of the water with a big pointy nose and just to show that I wasn't imagining things it did the same again a few seconds later. Thank you very much Mr Fish. Unfortunately, the last couple of times Chris got the fishing rods out the bait and weights disappeared - it appears our tackle isn't man enough for the fish out here. Shame, can you imagine how many tuna steaks you could get from one fish?
Chris is currently carrying out his abolutions off the swim platform, admiring the ripples in the sand below despite the water being 5m deep. I showered this morning in Puerto Petro and nearly fell off the bathing platform thanks to admiring the fishes swimming in the eel-grass on the seabed. Dangerous business this sailing lark.
