Position: 28:01.11N 016:36.46W - Marina San Miguel,
Tenerife (again - not that we're complaining, it's our second home)
Delivered mum back to Tenerife in a constant 30 knots of wind,
9 knots plus boat speed, topping 10.7 (DecaDance record), huge waves breaking
over the boat - exhilerating (sp) for us, poor mum thinks that's what we do
every day... I don't think she'll ever sleep again.
But she's a trooper; didn't lose her nerve, caught the fruit
bowl as we heeled when the wind first hit (missed an avacado which Chris later
found in the snake pit), and retained the contents of her stomach - if not the
fruit bowl.
And when I took mum back to her hotel ready for
tomorrow's flight I had a bath. Oooh, heaven. Two jabs in my bum and
a course of horse pills is doing little to ease my back pain, but half an hour
soaking in hot water has done wonders. Thanks mum x
