Relaxed cruising my &%$£.  What a day!  Glorious morning of light winds, but on the nose so plenty of practice tacking to and fro (I furled the genoa all by myself more than once!).  Loads of dolphins and a turtle.  Then the winds reached 20 knots and the choice was to tack further off shore where the winds were stronger or motor straight into wind.  We motored, sailed nicely in the shelter of Golfo de Almeria and braced ourselves for the next corner - Cabo de Gata.  We were determined not to give up, but the predicted ease in wind hadn't happened and so we diverted here to the marina at Almeria arriving just before midnight, thoroughly beaten.

Off at first light to continue this pleasure cruising malarkey!
