Yesterday (22 of February ) was St. Lucia`s Independence Day.
They have been independent for 33 years, since 1979.
It was celebrated with a big parade in Castries and you could see the St. Lucian flag everywhere.
Prince Edward and Sophie where here to watch the parade and they where brought into Rodney Bay Marina from their big ship out in The Bay.
We went over to take a photo and when they arrived they stopped and talked to us for minute.
They wanted to know where we came from, if we had sailed all the way and how big our boat was.
Then Sophie said that we where tough to do a thing like that :-)
Nice of them to do a thing like that - it really made our day.
Now they have moved on to a lot of other islands in the Caribbean to celebrate Elisabeth`s 60 years as Queen.
