Arrived along with Mambo and Northern Rose on 21 Aug moored on town dock 16.43.74S, 151.26.60W. We actually arrived just after Northern Rose and anchored off the Marina, bit exposed, deep and rolly. Mambo arrived later and said the town dock was empty. We didn't understand what they were meaning but it turned out that you could moor on the town dock overnight free. So we all moved off the next morning. Rather rocky and bouncey but nice to be able to step off the boat and walk across the road to the supermarket. We were there a week! Mambo and Northern Rose left before us as the big charter Cats came in and wanted us to move. We moved but Mambo and Northern Rose left. The guys on the Cats helped us move and then helped us back when then left. They just neede to re fuel and provision. They were very nice about it.

When we arrived on the dock there was a man sitting on the wall, turned out to be American and was living on his Cat with his wife in the Marina. He did work on boats so within minutes of docking we had the piece for the dingy on its way for repair. This man (I've forgotten his name) also had a reconditioned ram for the autohelm which we thought might be a good idea as ours was still a bit tempermental. He wanted $1000.

As it turned out it was a type 2 and we needed a type 1 but he said he could make it work by changing over the motors. We felt the next thing was that the motor failed so decided to go without his ram.

Left Raitea on 28 Aug for Tahaa, auto helm still ok but goes off from time to time and we have to shut the power down and restart it.
