Joined up again with Northern Rose and Mambo mooring balls here at 16.40.95S, 151.29.17W on Tahaa. Water really clear. The Captain on one of the Charter Cats had spent time with Jim and maked on a map places to visit here including a Coral garden. Pat and Glen left before us as did Mambo but we decided we would stay so that we could go to the garden. This meant a short sail to the top of the island near the hotels where you anchor, dingy ashore (in our repaired dingy) which we did. It was a bit rolly and very deep. The garden was lovely just a few feet deep so you could walk through the outcrops and swim/snokle other bits. We took our underwater camera which after a few pics stopped working. It had leaked at 3' deep and is supposed to work at 30m. We were very disappointed as its not been used much but would be coming in to its own on this leg of our journey.

When we returned to the boat we found we'd lost the hook off our anchor snubber and as we were in 10m or more I'm afraid it was claimed by Neptune. We returned to the mooring bouy for the night.

You can see Bora Bora from this island so we only had a short hop there. Left Tahaa on 31 August at 6.00am and arrived in Bora Bora at 11.30am.
