We are now -10hrs off UTC. Our position at 1800UTC was 13.51.40S 144.27.87W COG 220 SOG 5K wind SE 15k waves 1.5m. We had a quieter night with both of us getting some sleep but still had some squalls seeing only a slight shower of rain and winds to 21k. We had one reef in the main and 2 in the genoa which we've kept in all day today as we need to slow down to get to Ahe in time for slack water which is going to be about 2.00pm local time. We've changed course as have decided to run between the islands during the night so are now on a course of 230T this has made things quieter but we are rolling a bit but at least its a roll rather than a jerk. Jim has 2 lines out one has his home made lure on it. He made this from my washing up gloves. He's not very artistic and has just tied them together, it doesn't look great and we have visions of the fishes looking at it and having a real good laugh! I slept a lot yesterday and didn't feel great, funnily Jim was like that the day before. Today we've read and been able to walk around the estate the water is so blue it's lovely and we have had a clear blue sky for the first time. Water temp is 32.1 bit cooler than it was at 33.2.
