Before leaving Anegada we went ashore to see if we could see the flamingos in the inland lake. No success with that. It was a hot sunny day and we walked back along the beach cooling our feet in the crystal clear water.

Departed after lunch and arrived at Trellis Bay (position above) on the Eastern end of Tortola. We took a mooring buoy near The Last Resort, a bar/restaurant on a small island in the middle of the bay. Got to The Last Resort in time for Happy Hour and then had a delicious dinner. (Thank you Tim!). Unfortunately their donkey (named Bottom!) had died some 5 months earlier - much to the disappointment of the kids. the slogan had amused us - great food, fun staff and a nice ass! I asked if they were replacing Bottom and the waitress told me no - having a donkey was a pain in the ass. Georgie, Doc and kids went back to the boat and Mike, Ann and I stayed to supervise our nearly 17 year old including with whom she was dancing!

Today was Lauren's 17th birthday. We went ashore at Trellis Bay and found a nice wee place on the beach for Breakfast. Departed Trellis Bay for a small private island behind Tortola, called Guana Island. There was some spectacular snorkeling here with turtles, tuna bigger than Jamie, little fish, tropical fish, and Pelicans diving amongst the rocks and smokeless for their lunch.

Another 2 hours sailing back to West End, and we are in Soper's Hole where we started with everyone. There is a ferry first thing in the morning to take them back to St Thomas. We are thinking of going with them for a day at St Thomas. Anyway, will go have a look at Pussers Rum Bar tonight for Lauren's birthday dinner. (where are you Tony?).
