It has been a slow 24 hours with only 135 miles covered. we have been
battling with light head winds and confused seas which makes the team pretty
uncomfortable. we are still sailing with the wind forward of the beam and trying to claw our way south
Overnight was spent dodging thunderstorms and we motored for
10 hours to try and makes some distance to the south. Not much sleep for
the captain.
the Iridium phone is living in the oven wrapped in tin foil as some (hopeful) protection against lightening strike.
today we have picked up a light southerly and are having a lovely day in
warm sunshine. the kids went swimming whilst swinging over the side in the
bosons' chair, and a pod of dolphins came to visit.
Hopefully the trades will settle in soon.
