We had a leisurely start to the day and didn’t set off until 10.30.  There wasn’t much wind and so we motored nearly all the way. The wind finally leapt into life just as we were coming into the marina – par for the course! However there was no problem and the marina staff helped us tie up.

We were next to an American yacht -  Indigo.  They are also off to Turkey but heading rather further east than us – to Kemer.  We also met another couple on a Canadian registered yacht -  Saltscar III. They were from the north of England but had emigrated to Canada in the 70ies  and had been sailing with the Americans in the Caribbean. They were also going to Kemer.

We had agreed to meet up with Shamrock Rose to go out for a meal on the Saturday night but managed to fit in some sightseeing before then.

Cagliari is absolutely fascinating with lots of really narrow old fashioned streets

I don’t know what it meant but he was rather sweet!

Breathe in if you own a 4x4

We did meet up with Richard and Bethan from Shamrock Rose and had a wonderful meal in a little restaurant that you wouldn’t have looked at twice! Well done to them for discovering it!
