Our next port of call was Nazare which is a small marina in a fishing harbour. We tied up by 4 o’clock after a cloudy daysail in poor visibility and set off on our bikes for the town which was at the opposite end of the bay.  It is a tourist resort for Portuguese and was full of little old ladies advertising their rooms for rent. We planned to go to Peniche the next day which split the distance between Nazare and Cascais however Richard met an English chap who lives in Nazare who didn’t recommend it.  He said that we might not find any space there so we left bright and early the next morning for Cascais.
