Plymouth

We left Fowey at 10:10 and sailed past Mark and Angela’s boat and were too busy waving goodbye to little Anouk that we failed miserably to take a photograph! Another beautiful sailing day in spite of the cloudy skies and rather cool wind. It made a welcome change to see so many boats out sailing. We tacked back and forward in the entrance to Plymouth sound before putting our engine on and motoring into Mayflower Marina arriving at 14:45 in good time to go shopping for supper. No mackerel again!
The following day Sarah and Ian came to visit us on their way to Bude. It was great to see them and we had an enjoyable meal accompanied by probably far too much wine … judging by the empties the following morning.
On Monday Gypsy Moth IV was due back in Plymouth following a round the world trip and as it was sunny (but freezing) we decided to take the bikes and cycle to Queen Anne’s Battery marina to see her and also book ourselves in time for our rigging to be done on the 4th June.
