We were up bright and early and left Malaga at 8.10 in the morning.  There was virtually no wind and so we motored all the way to Punta de la Mona.  The coastline itself is attractive however the numerous high rise apartments and hotels rather spoil things so it was a surprise to find a lovely little anchorage round the corner from an equally pleasant marina.  We anchored in 15 metres of water and had a wonderful afternoon swimming and snorkelling amongst the shoals of fish. Our first swim in the Med!

 The Med at last!

Hurry up and pass me the sponge so I can clean this weed off!

We took the dinghy ashore – after R had pumped it up again and investigated the little marina supermarket.  The marina was lovely but the shop was hopeless so we decided that we wouldn’t stay another day there tempting though it was and set off for Almerimar early the next morning.
