Progress on Water Music is, at best, slow on the return trip.  We launched in Grenada on Tuesday, 30 May, on schedule, but could not get the engine to start after the winter maintenance.  This turned out to be more serious than we expected and we sailed into Carriacou and then Martinique with no engine.

 

We are now in Marin in Martinique having a new engine fitted as the old one was irrepairable.   Sadly Bertie had to leave us in Martinique due to time pressure – so we are down to three. We are now hoping that the new engine will be fitted this week (in spite of 2 bank holidays in the week) and we will then carry on the journey.  The revised plan is to leave Martinique on Saturday morning for an overnight passage to Antigua and then re-stock there before leaving for Azores on Monday/ Tuesday.

 

Weather here is hot and wind has dropped since we arrived.
