Day 13
Departed at 6.30 am again, for the 68 mile passage
to Rodney Bay. Sail to St Vincent was lovely, then the wind died so as we
motored past the rain forests we had scrambled eggs and bacon for
breakfast!
Wind turned on again for the passage to St Lucia,
so once more lovely beam reach. Then we had to motor through strong head winds
for the last 15 miles to the anchorage.
Capn Peter and Kingy climbed up Fort Rodney on
Pigeon Point.
As the sun set we dingyed ashore to the "Happy Hour
Bar" ... and from there headed to the Gros Islet all - night
Jumpup...
Kingy sampled a local delicacy of kebabed
kidneys..... ( and confirmed they were inedible ! )
Nick and Kingy danced with the locals... - a
strange sight indeed! After much Matchmaker merriment we returned to to
our anchorage in the early hours...... and Nick dropped his prized Maglite Torch
overboard ! ( No one could free dive 17
metres.)
