A very comfortable night with poled out headsail, speeds of 11.5 knots and now a broad reach to Finisterre. The Watt and Sea hydrogenerator has proved amazing, especially now with more constant speeds. We have fully charged batteries and have only run the generator for 1 hour since leaving Falmouth.

 

Yesterday afternoon, sailing with a pod of dolphins playing with us, two huge backs rose up in front of Ghost, blowing as they surfaced!! We altered course and had the pleasure of these two for about 30 minutes, although apart from the initial sighting all we got after that was the ‘steam’ from them blowing. Hence no photo.
