39:11.82N 20:11.17E At last 2 men arrived carrying our new genniker on Monday morning. All the parts, furling system from UK, sail made in Turkey and cables from France, came together and we have a huge sail that's rather scary. We will need a still calm sea to try it out before even contemplating using it for real. For the moment it's going back into its sail bag! As soon as the guys left us we got on our way to get the 1pm bridge opening. Levkas is joined to the mainland with particular type of bridge that let's it keep it status as an island (and subsides). It was quite exciting as the channel is dredged but silts up quickly so scary at times but beautiful as the water is almost a luminous turquoise.

We made our way to Paxoi and had very rolly seas with winds once again on the nose, so the engine was on for nearly the whole 35 miles. We arrived at the beautiful little town of Gaios at about 6.30pm and berthed up against a crowded harbour wall. Fortunately boats from the rally, who have been here for 3 days, were there to lend a hand and invite is to a drinks birthday party on another boat. Not to miss out it was the quickest tying up of a boat we've had since the free welcoming bar in Israel!! Gaios is a real treasure, off the beaten track but quite prosperous. We especially noticed all little kids playing around until well after dark. We are really impressed.
