16:39N 33:36W  We have just landed our first fish – a female Dorado
(mahi mahi)  2. 1/2 foot long and 12lbs – I think four days out at sea is
affecting our perception. Fresh meat tonight. This fish makes up for the big one
that got a way, it snapping the ends of the twin hook.  We have just
celebrated reaching our quarter way mark.  The winds have been very fluky
today and we have spent most of the day practicing multiple sail changes which
has only left us frustrated at our progress.  4 days out and you can feel
quite alone, although we have spoken to a nearby ARC yacht Karma Wins (a cat)
and told him not to follow us as we are lost. Checking our progress we seem to
be running second in our class – we just have to stay ahead for another 1500 nm.
The champers for the milestone was pretty grim but the dorado was delicious and
there was enough for 5 of us. Hopefully tomorrow Colin will catch a different
variety as we don’t want to get fed up with dorado!!!
