Just a quick blog for our followers to let you know that we are safely tucked away in Somes Sound, it's rather like a fjord and protected from the Atlantic swell. On a scale of 5 this anchorage rates 4 so we plan to stay until the threat of bad weather is past.

The forecast is that the effects of Irene could reach us by Sunday night or Monday. The predictions get more accurate with each passing day, at present it's at it's worse in the Turks and Caicos Islands and heading for North Carolina.
