Just another day in paradise.

Since our Nanny Cay refit we have been having a holiday cruising in the BVI's. A fantastic group of islands which would take another month to fully explore. Our favourites so far have been Little Jost Van Dyke and all around Virgin Gorda.
Everything is working well, having some great sails in company with the 53 foot Vulcan Spirit and not missing our generator one bit. Haven't tried the hydrovane yet but will do on our passage back to St Maartenon Friday. We were saved in our search for gas by the loan of a cylinder of calor gas by Vulcan Spirit. We still can't find anyone who has an adapter to fill our UK cylinders, a real bind because our gas locker is the wrong size for American bottles.
It was great yesterday to speak to Wilf who is recovering at home after a major operation. He was in good spirits and the surgeon has said everything went well so we are all very relieved. He said he is looking forward to watching full coverage of the Masters golf over the next few days. We look forward to him coming out to visit us again.
Our plans are slowly materialising as time nears the hurricane season in the Caribbean. We are off to St Maarten tomorrow to buy a wind generator and because we have to leave the BVI's after our 30 day allocated stay has expired. To stay longer we would have to import the boat at a cost of $200. We might come back after St Maarten on our way to the Dominican Republic to get our US visas. We hope to be in the Dom Rep from the end of April. Then mid May up Bermuda on our way North.
Nearly forgot to tell you of our adventures over the last 3 days. Things come in 3's so we were not surprised to be involved in a sinking of a neighbours in the anchorage on Virgin Gorda. The other 2 incidents were the 2 days before with a Mayday for a snorkeller who was in trouble in the next bay. He unfortunately died, we think from a heart attack, the yacht involved in the recue attempt came to anchor near us later on. The wind picked up in the evening and the catamaran started banging into another boat to his side. Richard from Vulcan Spirit and I helped them re anchor later that night.
