Greetings All. We are currently in
Mesolongion in the Marina under a large thunder storm. That said it is
still hot and the rain has not really started yet! We arrived here with
the first "clap" of thunder having had a really good (8kts at times) sail from a
place called Trizonia some 36 miles east of here. Rewind a bit and, as you
know, our last blog was sent just before we set off towards Athens. As we
predicted, we did have a fast and exciting sail south in lots of wind and big
seas. The first picture does not really show the size of the waves, but it
does show that it was not flat calm!
We collected our friends James, Bill and Catherine
from Athens and have a really nice few days sailing here via the Corinth
Canal. The previous post, TEST, was sent in error so apologies for that
and as soon as I have posted this blog Bill is going to write a guest
blog. For those of you who followed our trip from Spain to Corfu last
summer you will know he has done one before.
Bye for Now
Gilly B
