The Rain in Spain Falls Mainly on Bayona

Hi Folks, Since I last managed to write
(internet connection dodgy in marina surrounded by hills and stormy weather) we
have changed crew, changed clothes (i.e. reverting to winter vests and
socks) and changed our date of leaving here, twice.
The morale is not bad though the girls came with
their shorts and bikinis and did not expect to be sheltering from gale force
winds and driving rain! They are convinced Duncan took the good
weather home with him.
Yesterday we all went on a coach trip and did a
magical mystery tour of about three places. The wine tasting was
good and the walk in the woods was lovely as it was not raining then.
We had sardines for lunch in Valenca _ a walled town over the river in
Portugal. By the time we came back it was driving rain
again. We spent the evening playing with the 'bones' -what
sailors used to call dice!
We are gambling on going to the next windy
refuge later today (Wed) or Thursday. Sadly the girls have to
go home again on Friday....
Hope everyone is well and enjoying better weather
than we are!
