Kalimiera! Still here in Panayia waiting for
the blowy weather to go away. We have a vague routine to our day
here which is that Graham sometimes runs in the morning. We sometimes go
for a walk and often swim and then shower on the beach and walk back to the boat
for some chores or book reading or just watching the locals go by.
The main street runs along the beach and the
children ride their bikes up and down then the teenagers ride their motor bikes
and scooters up and down. The taverna owners work quite hard but don't
have many customers yet and the fishermen here go out regularly but don't seem
to catch much and then spend ages sorting out their very long fine mesh
nets! How anyone makes a living here is hard to
understand.
We have some photos of the boat tied very firmly to
the wall - five lines and two anchors! The nice german couple
with Don the dog are beside us and also have two anchors out - Naivasha is back
in Port Rafina. Also pics of some local flora and a very very old
olive tree.
Bye for now
