Have spent a few lovely days at anchor just west of Ilet du Gosier. The last two days the water cleared up, so the snorkelling got pretty sweet. Lobster, Porcupinefish, Scorpionfish, seahorses, moray eels, and all the usual reef fishes and critters. Tomorrow we head back to Bas-du-Fort to get out forestay repaired after a rigging inspection revealed a very frightening crack in the casing at the point of attachment to the mast - see picture. Have also been drafting some ideas for the next few stages of our journey. Subject to change as always, the latest plan sees us exploring Marie Galante and Les Saintes in Guadeloupe before heading up to Antigua via the west coast of Basseterre. Then it is Barbuda, Anguilla, St. Martin, Montserrat, St. Kitts & Nevis, Dominica, St. Lucia, and Martinique. From there we go to Barbados, St. Vincent & Grenadines, and Grenada. Then a short visit to T&T before heading to ABC islands, Colombia, and San Blas. Thereafter it is the Panama Canal and into the Pacific, where we kick off with Easter Island, Pitcairn, and the Gambier Islands before heading up to the Marquesas.
