First Place and Departure Delays

 

Well the official results are in. On Sunday Night at the awards ceremony the Skipper proudly accepted the First Place Prize, a bottle of Bermuda Rum. Life at the Dinghy Club has been quiet otherwise; we did a little sightseeing and walking around in the Town of St George, shopped for groceries getting ready for the trip home and topped up the gas tanks and the water tanks. We were ready to leave on Monday morning but news of bad weather approaching towards our route dashed our hopes of early departure. It appears that we will have to wait until Wednesday to depart but that also means that we will miss all the good wind that the weather system was bringing with it. The way I see it there might be a lot of motoring in store for us since the winds albeit weak are all predicted to be from the North, the direction we have to go home. Anyhow I am prepared for whatever comes our way, we have to make it home by the 20th; I really do not want to get Tulin more upset. She has already put up with a lot of my “nonsense” in the last few months...The next missive will probably be from Sea since we will be leaving Terra Firma in the morning
