Rain, rain and more rain. It has been raining cats and dogs non-stop for two and a half days. With each high tide on schedule, the dock is submerged under water . After a brief lull the wind finally shifted this afternoon to north-west and eventually west. We are experiencing the strongest winds yet, gusting 35-40 knots. This shift indicates that “Sandy” is finally leaving us to move up north to cause havoc for those of you in the metropolitan area and Long Island. All things considered we had it pretty easy down here and wish that you will fare at least as well. Life aboard Traveling Light is quite monotonous but bearable. Around noon time after the waters receded from the Dock we went to the Rally Office to finalize some paper work. Talking to the tall, blonde Swedish girl was quite refreshing for the Skipper. Afterwards we drove to West Marine to get some more stuff for the Safety Inspection tomorrow. The fresh water pump is installed but not working quite the way it should. We will have to troubleshoot it tomorrow. Troubleshooting in a boat never ends…
