We have sailed 139 Nm in 24 hrs! 32 09 625N 012 08 174W At 01:30 Squall of 24 knots hit us and Shelduck handled it well traveling at over 7kn. 12:00 Light rain and the wind died. We started the engine and ran it at 2500revs doing 5.8-6.2knots. Sails were still up. At 17:30 we shook out the 3rd & 2nd reef and at 17:40 there was a sound like hitting a large block of wood and looking over the stern we was we had in fact upended a large turtle which was flailing its flippers in the air. at 19:00 the wind was sufficient to sail so we turned off the engine.
