night sky

Fantastic night sky tonight before the moon rose. Just coming to the end of my watch (Roy). Away from light pollution the night sky is spectacular, especially when you have 180 degree view (not counting the bit obscured by the sails). Another good day sailing, still running downwind.
Another "one that got away" day today, fortunately we have some spare lures so try again tomorrow.
A bit premature but we are counting down the miles, by morning we will be in the 800's.
Just a mention, for tea we had corned beef stew followed by peaches and ice cream for desert. Running a dry boat has some compensations!
Rob & Chris finally worked out our position on paper using astro-nav so we now know where we were last week, as well as today!
Position at 02:15 UT 1/12/15 16:38.599N 045:50.167W
