Covered 153nm through the water and 167overland in the last 24 hours. We've seen some very changeable weather. Building winds late yesterday evening until just before dark when we took the small spinnaker down leaving just the main with 1 reef. This made for our first night without either a jib or spinnaker for ages and gave us quite a rolly night. Got one of the medium sized kites up again at first light, only to have it down again for a huge squall about an hour later. Pretty soon we were sailing on just a double reefed main (after more wind changes and concequent sail changes - some more controlled and text book than others..!). The seas have been building most of the day, but the wind eased again into the afternoon, so we're now back to small kite and 1 reef, making good progress (about 8kts most of the time).

We're all getting excited about the end of the trip - just 300 miles to Niku Hiva now, which should mean that we arrive during the day on sunday all being well.

We're all doing pretty well (apart from the odd bit of seasickness and tiredness), glad to be back online again (finally got more satphone credit) and looking forward to some time onland again soon - only two more sleeps!
