Covered 182nm through the water and 208nm overground since yesterday. Some great sailing with 1 reef in the main and the small spinnaker yesterday afternoon and into the evening. Then we changed the spinakker for the #3 jib during the night and stuck with it ever since. The winds are pretty steady now at about 20-25kts - on the port beam, and we're averaging about 7.5kts. Quite a few clouds around, but no rain yet today and still plenty of sun. We've been pretty spoilt with good quick conditions over the last few days, to the point where 7kts feels slow, and 6 feels just about stationary!

The big news is that we've broken our fishing duck!! - Landed a Maihi Maihi which is on the menu for tonight (and a few hours later nearly got another) so finally it looks like we might be doing something vaguely right. Lots of excitement as you can imagine - particularly for Tuck who was buzzing for hours!

So we're still making tidy progress, well over a third of the way there now. With the increased winds the seas have been building and the cockpit is no longer the dry sunny haven it once was. We've also pushed our watches back by and hour having covered 15 degrees west and to keep us in synch with the daylight hours.
