Marco and Rorie both responded to my request for feedback on the satellite tracker and it seems to be working well, thank you.

Three things happened on Monday which are worth mentioning.

First. We wore something warmer than a tee shirt for the first time since last November. The north east breeze brought cooler temperatures so out came sweaters and a fleece, at night we each needed a wooly hat in order to feel comfortable. It's quite surprising how quickly the weather changed as soon as we left the Caribbean Sea. I've also been monitoring the sea water temperature and notice it's down by more than one degree Celsius since Tortola.

Second. Monday was the first day we've sailed in less than fifteen knots of wind since arriving on this side of the Atlantic. There were two notable windless days, February 19 and 20, which unfortunately coincided with the St. Lucia Yacht Club round the island race, but I discount those as we weren't on board Passepartout. Out here the wind dropped just before sunset and left us wallowing in nine knots. The engine fired up and we motored through the calm for a few hours. Normal service has now been resumed and as I write (1200 UTC Tuesday)  we are once again pushing into twenty knots of true wind.

Third. We heard on the Monday evening radio net that the Saudi terrorist Osama Bin Laden was shot dead in a raid on his hideout and has since been fed to the sharks off the USS Carl Vinson. After almost ten years living with multiple wives at the same address I wonder if it wasn't a relief to see the Navy Seals break down the door.
