We are finally free of the restrictions imposed by the insurers who decreed that we had to stay north of Cape Hatteras until the December 1st official end of hurricane season. We spent a month waiting to head south to warmer climes but used the break for some travel on land. There's a new video on YouTube which gives a taste of what we've been up to. http://www.youtube.com/user/ccslaney?feature=mhee#p/a/u/0/yG3BdpSDcgk

The sail down to Florida was very lively and we spent the first twenty four hours in very cold and wet conditions. But since arriving in Dania Beach we have been warmed not just by the weather but also by the fantastic welcome from Yaniv, Nevo, Alex, Smadar, Mirit, Mickey, Jenny and a few others who I hope will forgive me for not including their names here. Yaniv Soozin invited us to tie up alongside a dock he rents for the beautiful motor yacht he captains. Mickey, Alex, Mirit and Smadar are transplanted Israelis with a reputation for going out of their way to show visiting sailors a great time. All of these people know our children Amir and Naomi from their own time spent in Florida; now it was our turn to make their acquaintance. We have crammed a BBQ at Jenny's house, an Israeli meal with Yaniv and the crew, sightseeing with Smadar (including a visit to the amazing ART BASEL event), repairs, provisioning, shopping and more into just a couple of days. Thank you all!

Roni Gilboa has re-joined the crew of the PASSEPARTOUT for a voyage through the Abacos, and we will also have on board Tom; a local boater who has expert knowledge of these tricky waters. We feel very privileged.
