Ahoy Sailors!

We are back after a few days in the BVI where we tried to rest and repair our mind and body. I must say it was surprising to get “land sickness” so we ask for the local remedy and we where direct to the first bar and told we should order anything with rum in it!! We did just that and after a few sure enough the we were no longer land sick.

However the next morning we soon realised that there is some side effect to this medicine: Headache, nausea and feeling very tired. Its strange these are the same side effect you get from sea sickness!!!

To recover from our condition we spend a couple of days resting at the appropriately (or not) named marina “The Bitter End Yacht Club” just opposite Dick’s place (that’s Sir Richard  Branson to most people see photo).

We then decided to start making our way across the islands and ended up in Tortola (main BVI island) where we had our first experience of Xmas in the BVI and met some very friendly American friends whit whom we went to the “full moon party”: drink and food and fire next to the airport on a beach.

We have now left the BVI and making our way to the Turks and Caicos island for a quick stop for fuel and water and then onto Florida but that’ another journey and do tune it for comments in the next few days.
