Ahoy Sailors
we are back again after 3/4 days at sea we completed the crossing from the BVI to the Turks and Caicos Islands (see pictures below). For those of you who are wondering where these islands are its simple: they are south east of the Bahamas or/and north or Haiti/Dominican Republic; If you don’t know where these islands are than there is no hope for you i suggest you get out more or watch more of the Discovery channel.
The trip form the BVI to the Turks was fairly uneventful with the usual dolphins appearances and the odd whale that kept following us; that’s until the last night of the crossing...
Round about 4 pm boat time (4/5 hours behind UK time) we saw some very dark clouds coming very fast towards us and then storm number 3 hit us!!!
Luckily we got the tale end of the storm which meant not a lot of rain but the damage was already done soon the wind got worse and worse and the sea state became really bad.
Not helping our cause we soon realised the stormed had come straight from the north which meant we starting hitting the waves full face on: Not pleasant at all. It reminded me of the few hours spent sat next to Larry in his V12 last summer  while driving in little mountain roads of the Pyrenees: whiplash, nausea and a great rush of adrenaline while you thinking “am i going to make it in one peace??”. It was indeed just like that except this lasted for around 16 hours with no services to pull over for a rest or a drink!!!
Anyway back on terra firma for a couple of days before we head at sea again for our final leg to the USA;don’t miss next blog.
Till then
Captain Ben signing off Rrrrrr!!!
