Ahoy Sailors

Unfortunately there no bl**dy land ahoy as i promised you in my last blog; Someone must have moved the BVI as there are not here!!!!! But if it is any consolation, i know it is for us, we have a “Ship Ahoy!!” to give you (see picture). It is the first sign of civilisation, if you can call a cargo ship civilisation, that we have seen since leaving Tenerife 3 weeks ago to the day.

No much has happened these past couple of days; we had rain and dead calm sea/weather just like probably in England except the rain is warm and when it is dead calm its a roasting 33 C.

So to give you something more interesting to read i will share with you an experience i had a few days ago and i kept quiet for reasons that will apparent in a few lines.

A few days ago while on one of my favourite morning watch i found myself looking at the clouds and the various shape they have until Sacre Bleue!! as the French say i could not believe my eyes; looking at me with a smile on his was the King himself ELVIS !! here in the middle of the Atlantic.

I kept looking as i was very surprise to see him in the sky looking down on us, then sanity kicked in... It can’t be Elvis i said to myself for at least one good reason: if i say to people i saw Elvis in the cloud you can guaranty that in the BVI i will have a van waiting for me with those men in white uniform and a free trip to mad house!!!.

I cleared my eyes and looked again at this amazing cloud formation and then i realised that i was mistaken it wasn’t ELVIS at all it was JESUS!!!

I though about it for a while and then decided that Jesus was good as not only people won’t think am mad but most people will find that having a spiritual encounter in the middle of the Atlantic not only is plausible but perfectly normal too.

On a different topic i have had a good chat with the Machine (on-board computer) and it tells me that unless we come to a standstill we should be in the BVI by Wednesday probably morning.
