Ahoy sailors
left from St Miguel marina (Tenerife) on Monday afternoon; After spending a few hours improving our man over board procedure we finally set off to due south towards the Cape Verdi islands. Very interesting night again!! Windy Wavy and Sicky... Our new crew member (Kate) had to battle over night to get her sea legs. I wasn’t great either but touch wood so far i have avoided the sickness bit but still don’t feel 100%.
On Tuesday unfortunately the wind died and we have been using our engine to keep us going with a promise of more wind later on tonight (Wednesday) or tomorrow.
The weather is getting hot the further south we go; another 3 days going south and then will be turning due West towards the Caribbean and the BVI but i will keep the blog up to date.
Today Wednesday 12 we have been shadowed by a pod of dolphins again to this gives us some entertainment before my afternoon watch starts (4pm till 8pm) and i am on evening meal duty so i will need to cook in a few hours. Not looking forward to it as all the ingredient seems to become alive and start moving around the table!!!
Et voila a couple of photos of leaving Tenerife and me on my night watch.
A bientot
Captain Ben signing off Rrrrrr!!
