Hold on to your hair; here we go and any other made up sentences you want.

Full of diesel we set off from Gib in a rush to catch the tide and the weather window… 750 nautical miles to go.

Well we had everything even rain just like back home in England.

Thanks to luck (got the last diesel before marina empty) and good planning (got the tide and the weather correct) we managed excellent time and soon enough we were going down the coast of Morocco. I can tell you it is a very long long coast!!!!!

Half way down we picked up some very strong and very favourable wind which allowed us to make great progress.

On Saturday 1/11/2014 mid-day we finally arrived at Marina St Miguel in Tenerife just round the corner from Playas de las Americas and Los Cristianos.

This was a punishing journey just the two of us; the shift pattern is very hard and demanding on the body and soul and requires a lot more discipline than I envisaged at the beginning.

First stage complete next stage to the BVI but before that we have a few days rest, a trip back home for me and we pick up our 3rd crew member.

Till next time sailors

Captain Ben Out Rrrrrr!!!
