La Coruna 11th-19th August

Back to La Coruna. Same good town, same crummy showers; only improved (!!) by them moving the washing machine in to the men’s washrooms; so now you can shower and chat to the women next door doing her ‘smalls’; very friendly.

Back to England for Chris for a week to help Max set up camp in Leeds……….and a hoped for first sight of new member of the clan, Sonny Debice! Rock on Dax and Susie!

Girls go serious shopping in absence of skipper.

Broken camera (reason or lack of pictures on recent postings) gone for repair in uk.

The girls had a great week in La Coruna, very sociable with cruisers from all nationalities exchanging plans and enjoying the company. Maddie played happily fishing on the dock, where the age range of the children she met ,4-14 , and language differences seemed unimportant. We met several ARC boats as well as old friends from Biscay Triangle last year. We toured the city visiting the science centre/planetarium, the Torre de Hercules, the only remaining ,working Roman lighthouse and the excellent aquarium. This region is also the home of some important Galician designers, namely Amancio Ortega of Zara which we further explored naturally.
