Malua left Cartagena a bit letter than expected but that was due to the good wine, spare ribs and great conversation.  In fact I could not find my dock shoes so I had to retrace my steps of last night and fid which boat I had left them on!!
We left Cartagena and sailed south again with the wind aft of the beam but this time it was less than 15 knots so Malua settled into a good rhythm and I relaxed.  The passage was 82 nm and I had calculated I could reach the anchorage by nine thirty about a half hour after the sun had set.  It was a great sail, keeping my distance from a rather rugged coast with nowhere to go.  As the sun set my destination was in sight all I had to do is round the most eastern cape of Spain and travel a few miles westwards out of the swell and a good nights sleep was assured.
Unlike the previous passage everything worked according to plan at 2030 I dropped anchor off a sandy beach with the gentle wid blowing off shore.  What a great days sail.  Now to cook the filled steak I bought at the market and finish that half full bottle of Spanish wine.  Mushrooms, a cream source and boiled potatoes was on the menu.
Tomorrow up early and further south to wait for the crew.
A magical moment on Malua
