We have continued to be impressed with the general friendliness of people in Nova Scotia who have been helpful, cheerful and supportive during out brief stay.  It is a great place to visit and we’re glad that serendipity brought us here in Hamsi last year.

Today the electrical boys visited us again with extra bits and brought the AIS system and radar transponder to life, and demonstrated that the alarms for both are working. Phew.

We both worked on the gas problem for the remaining bit of the day and stopped for supper at 8 pm – days have been this length since we arrived.  Hamsi can’t leave until the gas is operable and some sort of hot meal making can take place.  This has pushed out the departure date, but hopefully not for long.

The two of us continue to rub along all right, and that is another plus of the prep work.
