Since our last entry we have started to see more vessels than we have
previously in our cruise. After an uneventful night we have seen some lobstermen
out to tend their pots, though their boats are rather bigger than those
customarily seen in Scotland (as always seems to be the case with things this
side of the Atlantic). We’ve also seen a new type of seagull though as usual we
have no idea what it is. There has been talk on the VHF as well, which we
haven’t heard in some time.
The wind, which has been on the weak side of the rigging since about
midnight, has thankfully been quite light and we are making good time. Daddy is
currently on deck having a wash and I’m soon to follow so. We have put this off
for a while as fresh water was running a little low, but now we are closer to
land we feel that is is perhaps necessary.
