Hello,

Well, all that bragging about our good fortune with the weather so far has, it would seem, come back to bite us in the backside. We had been running in the moderate wind zone between a low and a high. The high is now moving away and the low advancing on us, and will probably cross our course 10 degrees of longitude ahead of us. Having had steadily strengthening winds all of yesterday we decided to put up the storm jib just before dinner, then later we needed to heave to in rapidly growing seas and wind. Over night the winds reached Force 9 for a time with 4 m swells. Hamsi managed this well. The wind has subsided a bit since then and we will shortly attempt to get sailing once more.

Hope you are well

Hamsi
