We're going v slowly now. Yesterday's goos breeze gradually faded into
nothingness and we've had a very quiet 12 hours slopping around in the
swell making slow progress. Except of course it's not quiet at all -
the racket as the boat rolls and slews in the swell is incredible, and
quite wearing. We've got ropes holding as much of the rig firmnly in
place as poss, but still the sails flap and the halyards clatter. I'm
sure when we look back on the race, it will just be 'a quiet patch in
the middle' - now it's a dull and frustrating.

James has continued his run of form with fishing (i.e nothing caught).
The reels are mostly working - certainly better than just wrapping the
line around an old bottle. He's taking one of the reels apart at the
moment - not much else going on.

I must get back to getting the last ounce of speed form the boat.
Cheery emails - preferably saying how you're stuck in traffic or
similar (in text format) appreciated
